Omaha High Low poker is one of the preferable poker games played at online poker room. It shares players' hearts with the game like Texas Hold Em. Well, there is not big difference between these two kinds of poker games. The rules are almost the same. The only difference is that in Texas Hold Em the players are dealt two hole cards. In Omaha High Low the dealt hole cards are four. The number of the community cards is the same - 5 cards, which the players share for creating a hand. As in Omaha, you must use two cards from your hand and three from the board, but you can use a different two cards for your high and low hands.

The "button" is used to indicate the dealer position, after each hand it moves one place to the left. Before any cards are dealt, the first player to the left of the dealer posts the "small blind". The player to his left posts the "big blind". After the blinds the dealer deals clockwise each player four faced down cards. These cards are for personal use and it is good if you can protect these cards from the other players. Each player will now have the option to place his or her bets in the first round, which is set at the lower limit of the stakes structure.

After the first betting round the dealer dealt the first three community cards, this is called Flop. After the Flop is the second betting round. Then comes the Turn, when dealer deals the fourth community card. Again players put their bets. The River is when the last card is dealt. After this the players put their final bets. They have three options - to fold, to call or to raise. In Showdown the highest hand and the lowest hand get half of the pot each. The low hand must contain an 8 or better, and no pairs. You can use different cards for the two hands, and it is possible to win both the high and the low pot. If there is no qualifying low hand, then the high hand wins the whole pot.
