Texas Holdem poker is the most popular poker game, which is played with a typical 52-card deck. You can find this interesting game all around the world in casinos and cardrooms, online and in home games. Texas Holdem poker can be played with two players up to eleven players. 

Regular poker hand ranks apply to this game:

Five of a kind - this is the highest hand possible with joker. 
Straight flush - five cards, all of the same suit that are in sequence.
Four of a kind - these are four cards of the same rank. 
Full House - three cards of equal rank and two different cards of the equal rank. Flush - five cards of the same suit. 
Straight - five cards of mixed suits, in sequence.
Three of a kind - when you have three of the same rank with two unmatched cards. 
Two Pair - two cards of equal rank and a different two cards of equal rank.
One pair - any two cards of the same rank. 

Here is the betting structure:

Preflop - each Texas Holdem player is dealt two cards. These cards are face down and are also called pocket cards. Betting occurs after every player receives his two pocket cards.

Flop - the dealer turns over three cards in the middle of the table. These are community cards that each Texas Holdem player can use to create the best hand possible. After that betting occurs.

Turn - the dealer turns over another card making four community cards. This fourth card is also called the "fourth street". Another roun dof betting occurs.

River - the dealer turns over the fifth and last community card. It is called "the river" or "fifth street". The last round of betting occurs.

Showdown - the remaining players in the hand show their cards and the best hand wins the pot.
